It all began in the comfort of my home studio, where I still work today. Who could have imagined that this cosy little space would touch so many hearts and create beautiful luscious hair successfully for over a decade. The passion for art and creativity I’ve shared with so many wonderful people has shaped my journey and brought me to where I am now. Fast forward 16+ years in the hair industry, a little home salon tucked away in Cordeaux Heights, two beautiful daughters later and here I am, reflecting on how far I've come. But let’s rewind a bit and revisit where it all started... From a young age, my passion and creativity fueled the growth of my home-based studio, igniting a deep desire to make a lasting impact on every client who walked through my doors. What began as a solo venture quickly evolved into a thriving business with a team of five, including myself and while bridal inquiries were coming in, I chose to focus on building my business and mentoring my growing team rather than pursuing weddings at that stage. I made the decision to specialize in color services exclusively at the outset of Caroline Lysandrou Hair. Of course, styling requests were always in demand, but securing an appointment for that was as rare as finding water in the desert. Our clients booked months in advance! This rapid growth and the loyalty of my clients meant that my small business, unlike many, took off almost immediately, forcing me to expand my team quickly and as the business continued to flourish, I realized that my commitment to my colour clients and my staff was paramount. This led to keeping my books closed for weddings, allowing me to maintain the high level of service and attention my loyal clients had come to expect. It was a natural choice, one that ensured the continued success and growth of my salon What I had built was truly remarkable, and I am forever grateful for the unwavering support of my clients, whose trust in me and my team has been instrumental in the growth and success of my business. It is because of them that I am here today. Without their loyalty, my business would not have achieved the reputation and continued success it enjoys. The success of my business at a young age can be attribute to the immense dedication and passion I poured into every aspect of my work. I genuinely invested my heart and soul into each client and every service, always focusing on the smallest details. I remained hardworking, humble, and driven, constantly fuelled by my love for the craft. It may sound cliché, but I truly felt a sense of excitement to go to work every day to see the girls I worked with and my clients who I adored. I often found myself so immersed in my work that I didn’t even realise I was skipping lunch sustained only by adrenaline and the joy of what I did. However, after years of creating beautiful hair and giving my all, I found myself reaching a point of burnout and this leads us to 2019. A pivotal year for me, as it was the year I got married and fell pregnant with my first born daughter Saveria. This marked the beginning of temporary closure for Caroline Lysandrou Hair. A decision that allowed me to reflect and regroup and after taking a step back from my career and reflecting on what I truly wanted, I felt like the universe was guiding me toward a new direction. In 2019, shortly after getting married and blessed with my first daughter, Saveria not long after followed her sister Camila. Their arrival brought a whole new journey into my life, one that has been both fulfilling and transformative. During this time of raising my daughters, I made the decision to re-open my books for bridal. - Something I hadn’t had the time for previously. Reconnecting with brides reignited a profound passion for my craft, renewing my commitment to creating unforgettable experiences now for them. Not only in what I offer them as their “stylist” but offering them a truly personal experience. As I continue to nurture my family and my business, I’ve chosen to focus on my brides and make them a priority in my work. It brings me immense joy to be able to share in such an important chapter of their lives, and I am dedicated to providing them the level of attention and care their hair deserves.
